Critical in today’s building environments is the need to place significant emphasis upon the occupants comfort and indoor acoustics. Johnson Controls single duct units offer the typical benefits provided by single duct units while performing at extremely low sound levels. The Johnson Controls single duct units along with all VAV family model types of Johnson Controls are manufactured and assembled with a patented multi-point, center-averaging, airflow sensor called the FlowStar sensor. The FlowStar sensor provides a signal to the Johnson Controls controller enabling it to quietly and precisely measure airflow. Superior flow measuring allows for control at lower minimum cubic-feet-per-minute (CFM) values, resulting in lower energy costs and sound levels.
